Reading in Context

A man with a long name runs across a field. His chest heaves as he lunges and kicks a piece of leather lying still upon the ground. A split second later millions of people around the world are in a state of ecstasy, while millions of others are in pain.

It sounds crazy doesn't it, until you realise that the man has just kicked the winning goal in the final of the soccer world cup.

Context makes all the difference to understanding the meaning and significance of something.
